um, first, please keep in mind that preorder is different with sales. charts only count sales, regardless the timing of the order. preordering is basically telling the seller in advance that you want to buy the stuff they sell.. let’s say there are 10 items preordered and 10 items bought at the release date, if someone changes their mind and cancel their preorder, let’s say 5 items, then there will be only 15 items counted as sales, 5 from the uncancelled preorder and 10 from the item bought at release date. if nobody changes their mind, then the sales will be 20 items… i hope it explains ^^

No more “settle for less”

It’s kind of uncommon to find happy people nowadays. Every person seems to have at least one thing to complain about. Either it’s about job, spouse, children, job, economic condition, even stuff like weather or celebrities behavior. I wonder, is people nowadays are simply ungrateful, or worse, right about their complaints and that we all are deserve something better in our life.

But how do we define “something better”? And even if we deserve something better, is it truly attainable? What is something better and how similar, or different, the so-called better for each person? For some, it means better pay. For some other, it means no need to worry about their children’s future education. For some, it might mean they know that they have something to eat tomorrow. But maybe, for all, it simply means that we don’t have to worry about everything. Less thing to worry about, the happier we are, don’t we?

Then who is to blame for our less-that-favorable conditions? Ourselves? Other people? The overall  current condition? The answer of each people might vary. One thing I took note of though, is that we are often willing to settle for less, lowering our standard up to the point that other ask you, “Why the fuck you’re still staying?” when seeing you struggled in a situation where you are getting less, if not the least, benefit or continuously complaining about nearly everything.

Then it’s simple (okay, maybe not THAT simple LOL). Never settle for less, in each and every decision you made, there’s always choice. Whether you choose the right or easy (familiar? yeah, it’s Dumbledore’s wise word). And I find, the easy way always ended in settle-for-less position. Because you’re too afraid to do things, anything, to ensure your own happiness. It’s okay to be selfish sometimes, people. Even if you’re already trapped in the unfavorable condition, there is always room for improvement. The question is “Are you willing to improve your condition or not?” Because most of the times, we find it easier to stay and whine, instead of struggling for better. Ironically, we complicate things because we want it to be easy.

I initially wanted to say, “Get your ass off and refuse to settle for less!” but in the end, it’s not me who decide, it’s yourself.

Preorders vs Sales; The Hanteo Chart Fuzz

if you guys have no time to read the detailed explanation, let’s sum it up like this

HANTEO CHART ONLY COUNTS ACTUAL SALES

PREORDERS COUNTED ONLY IF IT SHIPPED, BILLED, THEN PAID

PREORDER YOUR DESIRED ALBUM AND PAY FOR IT, SO IT RECOGNIZED AS SALES AND REFLECTED IN THE CHART

I made this post in response of recent rumor, stating that “preorders does not count in chart”, encouraging people to place order at the date of release instead of preordering as usually done.

My first response is… “WTF?”

But all things are possible. So I checked and the source of the “preorders does not count in chart” saying is this post  http://dongwoowaifu.tumblr.com/post/22651122447/please-read-its-about-infinite  citing http://voteblaq.tumblr.com/support and  http://blog.ningin.com/2012/05/06/top-10-kpop-albums-and-goods-sales-charts-429-55/  as the source. As you might see there, they did not disclose why they come to conclusion that “preorders does not count in chart”. It simply says “Chart does not count preorder sales”

OK

First thing first, we all have to understand that:

preorders ≠ sales

Preorder: People placing order for goods they are going tobuy

Sales: The actual goods sold, which determined as shipped, that later billed and paid by the customer.

and Hanteo chart will count the actual sales that reported to them.

Let’s use a simple analogy here. If you order a dozen of doughnut but then changed your mind to buy half a dozen, which will be recorded as sales? Yep, the half dozen you actually buy. Or when you reserve a hotel room, then cancel it, the hotel will not count your reservation.

Same goes to preorders. If people placing order of 100 CDs, but later changed their mind and only buy, say, 40 CDs, the sales recorded will be 40. Yet if order placed is 100 and they paid for the 100, of course they will record sales of 100 CDs.

I asked YesAsia! regarding the preorders, and their answer is that when preorders fulfilled and the goods shipped, they will count it as sales then they report the actual sales on daily basis to Hanteo. click these link for details:

started to recognize the pattern. i find it hard to breathe with no clear reason. my body temperature rises. and all i can think is “i don’t want to live anymore”. isn’t it normal for a person to recognize their depression? i do think that i am currently in a depressed state. sudden baseless hate to everything, along with occasional snapping and burst of anger. am i tired? no, is my soul tired? hey, is soul able to be tired?

The Way I Fall……. (For You)

i don’t even know how you look, how you put on your clothes, how you behave……… yet i know, i will fall for you that day. why do i even start think about you? and even write about you?

it started when one of my bestfriends tagged me a notes in facebook, the lyrics of one of our favorite song called “I’d Rather” by Luther Vandross, ended with a question, “Have you guys found someone like this?” referring to (for now) a lover, a husband. Somehow i said “Not yet, we destined to live our life by ourselves for now.” I said it without much thinking, but now that i think about it again, there’s so much truth in it.

Maybe we will meet at a crossroad, maybe you’re an old friend, maybe you’re now a stranger to me, maybe you’re someone i knew in the past, maybe i’m someone you knew in the past, maybe you’re my friend’s friend, maybe you are a random, complete stranger. for now i don’t know.

one thing i am sure is, that i will fall for you not like the other. maybe you’ll get upset because of this but i’ll fall for your passion first. maybe i’ll be head over heels for you instantly when i saw you, maybe i’ll watch you first, observing you, and suddenly all i know that i have fallen for you completely. let’s see which way we will go… :)

For now, i don’t know yet. But until that day, i’ll live happily with the thought that i will be with you forever.

The Diamond and The Parents….. and Fans

 

This is the story of a diamond… and every other thing you might be able to relate afterwards.

You all know what diamond look like. it’s beautiful and highly priced. It even used by many to declare their social status. But maybe not many of you know, that diamond does not look like that when it’s first mined. it looks like ordinary stones you thrown around recklessly, not valued at all. But those miners know, there lies huge value in it and pouring in their sweat and (probably) blood in the effort to make other people see, the real value of that stone. it grind, crushed, and cut. and it takes long time too! this is a process called “bruting” when diamonds are set to grind against each other to shape each diamond into a round shape. After the bruting, the diamond is already shown it’s shape. and not to deny, it’s already beautiful. some people might said “it’s already beautiful! just let it that way!” but are they stopping? no! if they stopped right there, the real value of of the diamond will forever unknown and will never realized.

And there is a story about a family, and the kid is you. The mother is showering you with attention and cheer you up when you’re sad. And when you accomplish something, she’s the one that gives the warm smile and congratulating you. while father mostly not as emotionally close as mother with you, he express his love more likely by provide you what you need. Father, when you accomplish something, will say “You’re good, but i know you can be better than this”. Both parents know you’re talented and know how far you can achieve. but their way to express recognition of your accomplishment sometimes get you wondered, why they can express it the same way? it’s confusing. Is mother wrong? no, she gives you the confidence that you have achieved something. Is father wrong? no, he reminds you of what else you can achieve. Having only one side will be unhealthy, because we need the balance. Too much of a mother treatment might get you slacking off and easily full of yourself and in the end you can’t unleash your full potential. and too much of a father will make you go “why can’t i be good enough for you?” “What should i do to make you satisfied?” “Am i doing this because i want it or because i want to prove something to him?” See? if it’s combined, you will be someone reaching the top with healthy amount of love and leverage.

it’s up to you to relate it with yourself or anything around you but for me, i relate this with the fanbase i’m in, Inspirit. INFINITE is the diamond, and the kid. while mother and father are the type of fans. i called them “inspirit-mother” and “inspirit-father” regardless what is their gender, based on how they express their love to INFINITE. i’m maintaining the neutral position though, since i switch modes from time to time. hahahaha
